TWO children have been killed in separate road tragedies in WA in 24 hours - one on his bike and the second in a driveway.
A five-year-old boy, who was hit by a car while riding his bike in Bunbury on the weekend, died in hospital today.
Police said boy died in Princess Margaret Hospital from injuries he received when
he was struck by a 4WD on Saturday evening.
The youngster was hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero in Glen Iris near Bunbury and flown to Princess Margaret Hospital.
Police are still investigating the crash.
The boy was the second youngster to be fatally hit by a car in WA in less than 24 hours.
A 14-month-old boy was run over by a man reversing out of the driveway of a Wyndham home in the Kimberley region on Saturday evening.
The family took the child to Wyndham District Hospital, but he could not be revived.
Motorcyclist killed
Officers are also investigating the death of a 46-year-old man who injured in a motorcycle crash in Vasse.
The man was riding a motorcycle west on Vasse-Yallingup Siding Road about 6pm on Saturday night when he failed to negotiate a bend and consequently collided with a tree stump.
"It appears the rider failed to negotiate a bend in the road and left the road, continuing on the
dirt/gravel for approximately 100m before colliding with a tree stump," a police spokesman said.
"He was thrown from the motorcycle and collided with a tree."
He died as a result of injuries.
