A FEMALE tow truck driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a passing truck on Roe Highway this afternoon.
Roe Highway southbound in Kenwick, between Tonkin Highway and Brixton Street, had been closed since 3.20pm due to the crash.
The Welshpool Road westbound on ramp to Roe Highway was also closed.
Roads have now been reopened, with the crash site cleared at 4.45pm.
The 42-year-old woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
It is understood she is a tow truck driver and had been loading a broken down vehicle on to her tow truck when she was struck by another truck driving past.
She was sent to the scene by the RAC to help a driver.
The woman is in a serious condition at RPH's intensive care unit with head injuries.
