Violent drunken brawl erupts on Tube

Crowds chant and yell as a dramatic fight breaks out on the tube in London on NYE.

VIDEO footage revealing how a drunken brawl erupted on London's famous Tube train has emerged, which led to numerous arrests on New Year's Eve.

Five French men were arrested after the fight at Old Street station on the Northern Line unfolded.

A short video, which was made up of Vine videos posted online, reveals how the massive brawl began in the doorway of a rail carriage.

A red-headed girl in a white coat is seen standing in the carriage and shouts for someone to call the police before she falls into the side of it.

Two groups are seen arguing, sparking a wall of others outside the carriage to shout, jump and wave their arms in the air.

Some men can be heard yelling "fight, fight" before clapping and cheering as people inside continue to fight.

The brawl ends after a man leaves the train door carriage.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Five male French nationals aged between 20 and 26 have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed ... pending further inquiries."
