PREMIER Colin Barnett's electorate office in Cottesloe has been vandalised with a hammer and graffiti this afternoon.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of smashing the front windows of the Stirling Highway office.
The words "ego maniac" were also spray painted in red on one window and other windows were struck about nine times.
The Parmelia man arrested by police has since been charged with two counts of criminal damage after its alleged he smashed and spray painted a window at about 2pm today.
He has been released on bail to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on January 21.
Mr Barnett, who has recently been the subject of vitriolic criticism over his policy to cull large sharks in WA waters, was not in the office at the time.
He is still on annual leave, a spokeswoman from his office said.
The Premier's office has declined to comment on the incident.
